Sea glass can be found on many (not all) our beaches. There are certain beaches and areas where you find lots of wave tumbled glass and others where I have never found a single piece. Once you hit the motherload the question is - what to do with all your new found sea glass treasure? Make sea glass art of course. Here's how! Must Have: - Sea glass - A substrate like driftwood, wood blocks or art canvas - Adhesive (hot glue, Gorilla glue or my favorite DAP) Nice to Have - Acrylic paint - Tweezer (for tiny pieces) - Hanging hardware - Sharpie (for signing or drawing) - Gesso - A keen eye How I Do It 1. Prep canvas with Gesso 2. Decide on design and best canvas size for your layout 3. Paint with acrylic (determined by the design) 4. Install wall hanger of choice 5. Adhere sea glass 6. Scribble and sign 7. Let dry then package Happy beach combing and sea glass hunting! I wold love to see what you make - tag me on IG @lizweech_ Here's a quick time-lapse of me making sea glass art.
